Genevate enhances race site

The CIGNA Falmouth Road Race has entered into an agreement with Genevate Corp. of Cataumet as the official web-site development sponsor of the race.

Leslie Fishlock, president and chief executive officer of Genevate, said “We are delighted about the opportunity to partner with the CIGNA Falmouth Road Race in a long-term commitment for 2008 and beyond and we look forward to becoming a part of the race's rich history. Every year this spectacular event is supported by a multitude of volunteers, sponsors and runners from all over the world. We are honored that the race has chosen to partner with a local technology company and we are thrilled to work with them to provide a world-class web site for their acclaimed race."

Race co-director Rich Sherman added "Genevate brings top-of-the-line web development with a local touch, not unlike our race. We are excited about working with them to update our web site to be more user-friendly and interactive."

Genevate will provide a new, branded design, supported by a Ruby-on-Rails framework for developing web applications with multiple databases, e-mail, hosting, support and maintenance, as well as internet marketing for greater online visibility.

This year's race will be held on Sunday, Aug. 10. Entries will be available to download from May 1 to 10 at www.FalmouthRoadRace.com.
